1. Definitions

Includes: Explainability, AI-Assisted Output, Inference, Human Oversight, Automated Decision-Making (ADM), Significant Effect, Profiling, User Rights, and Model Transparency.

2. Purpose & Scope

This Notice explains how Superspeed.ai provides transparency and human oversight for AI-assisted features, including recommendations, search optimisation, automated support suggestions, and fraud detection signals.

3. Where AI Is Used

AI systems may support:

  • Personalised book recommendations
  • Dynamic search result ranking
  • Automated customer support suggestions
  • Fraud and anomaly monitoring

AI is not used for:

  • Legal, financial, or eligibility determinations
  • Any decision that produces significant legal or practical effect
  • Biometric, facial recognition, or emotional inference

4. Human Oversight (Human-in-the-Loop)

All AI-assisted actions remain subject to human review. Staff can override AI outputs at any time. AI suggestions cannot independently approve refunds, suspend accounts, or enforce policy decisions.

5. User Rights & Transparency

Users may request:

  • An explanation of how AI affected their experience
  • Clarification of what data categories influenced the output
  • Human intervention for any AI-assisted interaction

6. Explainability Methodology

We maintain documentation describing model behaviour, including:

  • Purpose of each AI system
  • Types of data used for inference
  • Key features influencing outputs
  • Known limitations
  • Model update history and versioning

7. Data Used for AI Inference

AI systems rely only on limited, non-sensitive data categories, such as:

  • Browsing patterns
  • Search queries
  • Generic interaction data

Digital books or user-generated content are not used for AI training.

8. Opt-Out of Personalisation

Where legally required (EU/UK), users may opt out of personalised recommendations or profiling. Non-personalised browsing will be provided.

9. ADM Restrictions & Assurances

Superspeed.ai does not utilise ADM that produces significant effects as defined under GDPR, UK GDPR, CPRA, PIPL, or PDPA. All meaningful decisions require human involvement.

10. Continuous Monitoring & Quality Control

AI systems undergo:

  • Performance monitoring
  • Drift detection
  • Fairness and bias assessments
  • Error rate evaluation
  • Regular retraining and controlled deployment with rollback capability
