1. Definitions
Includes: Automated Decision-Making (ADM), Profiling, Significant Effect, Personalisation, Inference, User Data, Human Oversight, and Model Output.
2. Purpose & Scope
This Disclosure explains how Superspeed.ai uses automated systems and profiling in limited, non-deterministic ways to support platform functions such as recommendations and fraud detection. It applies to all users of the bookstore, digital services, and customer support environment.
3. Where ADM Is Used (Non-Significant)
ADM may be applied to:
- Personalised book and content recommendations
- Search optimisation and ranking
- Automated support suggestions
- Fraud or anomaly flagging
These uses do not produce legal or significant effects as defined by GDPR, UK GDPR, CPRA, PIPL, or PDPA.
4. What ADM Is Not Used For
Superspeed.ai does not use ADM for:
- Decisions relating to refunds
- Account suspension or termination
- Eligibility or identity verification
- Law enforcement
- Biometric, emotional, or facial analysis
- Any consequential decision affecting rights or access
5. Profiling Activities (Low-Risk)
Profiling may occur for personalisation purposes, including:
- Tailoring search results
- Grouping users into non-sensitive interest categories
- Improving browsing experience
Users may opt out of profiling where required by law (EU/UK).
6. Data Used for ADM and Profiling
Only non-sensitive data is used, such as:
- Browsing activity
- Search terms
- Purchase behaviour
- Interaction logs
Digital books and user-generated content are never used for model training.
7. Human Oversight
All ADM and profiling outputs are reviewed and overrideable by human staff. Critical decisions are reserved for human intervention.
8. User Rights Under Key Regulations
Users may:
- Request human review
- Request information about the logic used
- Object to profiling (EU/UK)
- Opt out of certain data uses (CCPA/CPRA)
- Request explanation or correction of incorrect inferences (PIPL)
9. Safeguards & Quality Controls
We maintain:
- Model audit logs
- Drift detection and fairness monitoring
- Controlled releases with rollback
- Access controls for ADM systems
- Documentation supporting transparency and accountability
10. No Solely Automated Decisions with Significant Effect
Superspeed.ai does not perform any decision-making that produces legal or similar significant effects without human involvement, in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR, UK GDPR, CPRA, PIPL, and PDPA.
